In 1985, after 3 years of managing job sites for a well-known developer in the Bay Area, Doug Fernandez received his General Contractors license and started his own design/build firm, Fernandez Designs and Builders (FDB), focused on residential design and construction.

In 1989, Spenser Vieira joined FDB and after completing his architectural degree has become the Chief Designer for the firm.

Theresa Sitchler
Theresa relocated from Texas to California in May 2003 and has been looking for her dream job.  Fortunately, she began working for Fernandez Designs in May 2006 after being offered the position of Office Manager.  Theresa brings with her over fifteen years of bookkeeping experience. She has been attending college at the University of Phoenix Online and is less than two years away from attaining her Bachelors Degree in Accounting.  Theresa is a team player and looks forward to assisting customers in making their dreams a reality.
